Frank Cordell Jr., 91, of Marysville, died Sunday, June 23, 2019, in Monarch Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 22, 1927, in London, Ohio, to Frank and Lockie (Adams) Cordell.
He worked for Cordell Construction Company in Marysville for 30 years. In his early years, he worked as a farmer in Urbana and Milford Center.
He was a member of the Oak Grove Christ of Christian Union of Mechanicsburg, Bible Baptist Church of Marysville, and Calvary Baptist of Fruitland Park, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Roberta (Wood) Cordell, and his sisters, Jane Pratt and Jeanne Cordell.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Betty (Cantrell) Cordell, his children, Barry (Susan) Cordell, Sheryl (Jim) Cox, Diana Bryant, Billie Jo Denty and Karen Rush, step-children Mark Cantrell and Mike (Tammy) Cantrell, sisters Janet Hamilton and Jody Zerkle, brother Jerry (Karrie) Cordell, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren, three step great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday in the Skillman McDonald Vernon Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jeremy Stout and Dr. Terry Collier officiating.
Burial will follow in Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Marysville.
