Irene N. Comer, age 96, of Marysville, died Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Memorial Gables. She farmed with her late husband, Joseph, most of her life on a dairy farm. She was also an associate of H and H Electric in Bellefontaine. She enjoyed playing cards, canasta and euchre and was known as a great cook and baker, especially homemade breads and pies. She was born November 14, 1925 in Logan County to the late Fred and Ida Seifke Kuba. She was also preceded in death in 1995 by her husband, Joseph Howard Comer; two granddaughters, Lisa Comer and Christine Cost; and her siblings Charles, Ferdinand, Rudolph, Rinhold, Harold, Daniel, Frederick, Robert, Edward, Lewis, George, Willis, Ruth, Lucille, Margaret and Laurabelle. She is survived by her daughter, Roberta (Roger) Schilling and her son, Terry (Laura) Comer, both of Marysville; her grandchildren, Brett (Jennifer) Schilling, Lori Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Eric (Tori) Cost, Clay Cost, Aydian Cost, Amber Wilson, Billy Wilson, Taylor Paulson, Devon Jenkins and Dylon Jenkins; great-great-grandchildren, Christian Cost and Natalie Cost; her brother, Earl (Georgeanna) Kuba of Marion; and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Jack Knox will officiate and burial will be at East Liberty Cemetery.
