John A. Marshall Sr., 82, of Raymond died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Feb. 10, 1938 in Peebles to the late Homer and Lyda (Frost) Marshall.
He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Urbana Jaycees.
He retired from O.M. Scotts & Sons, Marysville. He also enjoyed hunting and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Jenkins) Marshall; his daughter, Rosanna (Marshall) Tussing; his son, John Marshall Jr.; his grandchildren, Kenny and Tracer Rose, Austin and Jenna Tussing and John Marshall III; seven great grandchildren; his brothers, Dave (Cheryl) Marshall and Cecil Marshall; his sisters, Mildred (Roger) Fraizer, Bonnie Bracy, Gaye Balentine, Elmira (Doug) Foellinger and Linda (Bob) Johnson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Judy Lemons; his brothers, Danny and Charles Marshall and Roger Frazer; his in-laws, Edna Fowler, Blanch Outrum, Serman Jenkins, Franklin Jenkins, Lucy Jenkins and John Jenkins.
A gathering of family and friends was held on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020 in the Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana. A funeral service followed with Pastor Tom Amlin officiating, with burial in the Raymond Cemetery.
