Linda L. Thompson, 70, of Marysville died Saturday morning May 23, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital from complications of COVID-19.
She was born Aug. 31, 1949 in Columbus.
She was a 1967 graduate of Marysville High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth (Wilson) Lowry; her husband of 51 years, Denver B. Thompson, Jr. in 2019.
She is survived by her children, Mickie (Gregory) Binion and John (Amy) Thomspon; six grandchildren, Latricia Rister, Jessica Rister, Christian Binion, Chase Binion, Maggie Thompson and Ella Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Hayden McIntire, Silas Binion, Alaina Mendenhall and Demetrius Sanders; brothers, Bill Lowry and John (Karen) Lowry; sisters, Margaret (Bill) Tolliver, Louisa (Bob) Dotson and Christy (Dusty) Parker.
A private funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the Ferguson Funeral Home. The service will be available for viewing via livestream on Ferguson Funeral Home’s Facebook page.
A public graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Unionville Center Cemetery with social distancing and those in attendance wearing masks.
