Lloyd J. Rausch, age 85, Marysville, died Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home. Following in his late father’s footsteps, Lloyd owned and operated Lester Rausch and Sons. He was widely known for excavating, demolition and snow plowing. He helped Paris Township with snow plowing and road maintenance for several years. Lloyd was a member of Union County Civil Defense and often volunteered his services for emergency situations in the community. As a youth, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially loved his dogs throughout his life and will be missed by his most recent canine companion, “Peanut.” Lloyd will be remembered for his hard work ethic and his loyalty to his friends. He was born March 27, 1936 in Marysville to the late Lester and Frances Mayer Rausch. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Lee Rausch and his sister, Betty Borden. He is survived by his children, Shari (Nick) Johnson of Zanesfield, Steve (Angie) Rausch of Marysville, Gary (Helen) Rausch of Marysville and Eric (Amanda) Rausch of Columbia, Alabama; his grandchildren, David, Chelsie, Brittany, Caleb, Tristan, Teralyn, Cory, Noah, Jadyn, Jonah and Georgia; his great-grandchildren, Raven, Kendra, Jade, Teagan, McKenzie, Brookelynn, Weston and Haygen; a brother-in-law, Bob Borden; and many other relatives.
