Marvin L. Yeoman, 88, formerly of the Raymond area, died Friday evening at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine following many months of failing health.
He was a 1949 graduate of Northwestern High School in Raymond and was known locally as a life insurance agent with the Modern Woodman Life Insurance Company.
Following his employment with Modern Woodman, he worked in sales.
A man of great faith, he was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in North Lewisburg.
He loved his family dearly and was a very social person who enjoyed eating locally at Bob Evans and Frisch’s restaurants.
He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends and would be seen often driving from place to place, enjoying his day.
He was an avid basketball player in his youth and, in later years, pastimes included hunting and trapping wild game.
He was born Sept. 9, 1931 in Raymond to the late Jasper A. and Mary A. Jackson Yeoman.
He is survived by his children, Allen (Carol) Yeoman and Lori (Mark) Cooper; grandchildren, Tonya (Dan) and Rob (Shannon); six great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; close friend, Jenny; and his many friends at the local restaurants he would frequent.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Raymond Cemetery with Pastor David Warner officiating. Ingram Funeral Home is assisting the family.
