Mindy Lu (McKitrick) Kundtz, 66, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Jan. 22, 2020 at Dublin Methodist Hospital.
She was born in Marysville on Oct. 23, 1953.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Russell and Kathryn (Andrews) McKitrick.
She is survived by her husband, Jon Carson Kundtz; daughter, Jennifer Grimes; son, Jamison Kundtz; and their spouses, Chadwick Grimes of Beavercreek and Nichole Mitchell of Plain City.
She was especially proud of her two grandchildren, Carson James Grimes and Elizabeth Christine Grimes, with whom she enjoyed decorating sugar cookies and going to the park.
She is also survived by her sister, Mura (McKitrick) Johnson and her husband, Charles Johnson, of Katy, Texas; niece, Kelsey Johnson of Austin, Texas; and sister-in-law, Jill Ellen Kundtz of Rapid City, South Dakota.
She married her husband, Jon, on April 23, 1977.
Together, they moved several times for assignments with his job with AT&T.
In 1990, Mindy returned to Dublin to operate her family’s business, Hilliards Furniture Company.
She was a member of the Jerome United Methodist Church and participated in the choir and hand bells.
She was also on the Executive Board of the Dublin Women’s Philanthropic Club.
She had fond memories of her girlfriends, “The Bellas.”
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street, Plain City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Jerome United Methodist Church, 10531 Jerome Road, Plain City, with burial at Jerome Township Cemetery.
