Ronald A. Fowler, 69, of Marysville died Wednesday afternoon, December 15th at his home surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness.
Ron was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in Korea. He was a retiree from TRUGREEN, where he worked as a manager and trainer.
He was a man devoted to his family and living life to its fullest. Ron and Debbie shared many adventures together, especially in Sarasota, Florida. He cherished the time spent with his sons and helping them with their various projects. He loved supporting his children and grandchildren’s activities. Always enjoying the outdoors, Ron was an avid biker as well as spending time with his family boating and camping. Sports was his passion, especially watching the Buckeyes and the Browns.
Ron was born October 26, 1952 in Marysville to the late Worthy J. and Ailene Blackburn Fowler. He married the former Debora K. Burroughs June 25, 1975 at the Marysville First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debbie; their sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Stephanie Fowler, Brett and Niki Fowler; 5 grandchildren, Brody, Alexis, Madison, Jordan, and Jase all of Marysville; siblings K. Michael (Janie) Fowler of Baton Rouge, LA, Mark W. (Tammy) Fowler of Bellefontaine and a special family friend, Sue (John) Carl of Raymond.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday evening from 6-8pm at the Ingram Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday with the Rev. Ed Beeson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery with the Union County Honor Guard providing military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or the Union County Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
