Sheila Marie VanBrimmer, 49, of Marion died the morning of Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019.
She was a longtime associate at Walmart and had various other jobs. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas time. She also enjoyed finding bargains and sharing them with others.
She was born on June 12, 1970 in Marion. She is survived by her son, Nicholas VanBrimmer of Richwood; mother, Margaret Peck of Richwood; father, Kenneth Dean VanBrimmer, Jr. and stepmother, Nina VanBrimmer of Delaware; siblings, Julie Ritzma, David (Gloria) VanBrimmer, Amy (Tim) Blevins, Doug (Michelle) Cooper, Kim Flin, and Jodi (Danny) Douglas; nephews, Chris Ritzma, KJ VanBrimmer, Alex VanBrimmer, Isaac Floresca, Ramon Floresca and Josh Rawlins; nieces, Hanna VanBrimmer and Casey Rosebury; aunts and uncles, Pat Petzinger, Ann Crosbie, Sandy Mitchel, Sherry Dunn, Denise Random, Lola Downs, Liz Beeman, Jim Crosbie and Macille Bargdille, Mike and Stephanie Crosbie and Sharon Crosbie; along with many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Les Peck of Richwood, her sibling Anne James and her uncle John Crosbie.
She battled aggressive cancer throughout her whole body. Her family is grateful to the staff at Marion General Hospital and would like to thank the members of the fourth floor and Dr. Gibson. They would also like to thank hospice nurses, Julie and Susan. Lastly, they would like to thank Dr. Desai for his support and care throughout the past 25 years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. in the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware. It will be followed by a service celebrating her life at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Franklin of the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
