William “Willie” “Bill” Walter Goldsberry, 89, of Unionville Center and Marysville died peacefully Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 at Prestige Gardens of Marysville.
He was born Aug. 23, 1930 in Unionville Center to the late Walter M. and Frieda F. (Hood) Goldsberry.
He was a 1948 graduate of Chuckery-Darby High School and attended all his class reunions.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict and in the National Guard.
He retired from Westinghouse. In retirement, he started his own business, B & L Miniatures, which he continued until his health prevented him from continuing his woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Goldsberry; wife, Callean (Flint) Goldsberry in 2016; sister, Ruth Jones; and a brother, John Robert Goldsberry.
He is survived by his sons, George Goldsberry and John (Debbie) Goldsberry; daughter, Peggy (Mike) Williamson; grandchildren, Tonya, Brandi, Michael, Laryssa, Abby, Matthew, Shawna and Molly Mae; great-grandchildren, Carter, Ellie, Tristyn, Bailee, Gracie, Reagan and Jayda; sisters, Christina Burchett and Clara Emmert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street (Route 161 West) Plain City, where funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Phil Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in Darby Township Cemetery, Unionville Center.
