According to Plain City Police Department reports:
Officers were sent to Route 161 for a fire alarm March 11 at 12:44 a.m.
An officer saw a grey 2016 Dodge truck and utility trailer parked illegally on Red Knot Court March 11 at 12:54 a.m. The officer tried contacting the owner by telephone, but was unsuccessful. He left a note on the vehicle advising to park it on the opposite side of the road.
Later, an officer saw a white 2019 Honda also parked illegally on Red Knot Court March 11 at 1:01 a.m. The officer attempted contact the owner via telephone. The officer left a note advising to park on the opposite side of the road.
An officer saw a gold 2005 Chevy Cobalt parked in an alley north of McDonalds and south of Richwood Bank March 11 at 1:53 a.m. The officer contacted the owner, who said he was having vehicle problems and was barely able to park in the alley. The owner said he would have the vehicle moved by about 9 a.m. the next morning.
An officer was sent to North Avenue to investigate drug paraphernalia March 11 at 2:57 a.m. After arrival, the officer met with the complainant. The officer then told the complainant that he could not go inside the subject’s room with her permission.
An officer was sent to Buggywhip Lane for a well being check March 11 at 9:28 p.m.
An officer went to the Plain City Aquatic Center on West Second Avenue to investigate suspicious circumstances March 12 at 5:25 p.m. The park’s manager found a large amount of water shooting from a pipe inside the pump room. She was able to shut off the water to the pipe, though she said she wasn’t sure how the water got turned back on or what caused the leak. She contacted the Village Street Department to check the pipes.
An officer was sent to meet with a complainant at the police department March 12 at 7:21 p.m. The officer learned that the complainant had been scammed, and advised he should report the account to Facebook and not send any money.
An officer met with a complainant at the police department to discuss a criminal damaging complaint March 14 at 1:46 p.m. The complainant asked that the incident be documented in the event he wanted to notify his insurance company.
An officer was sent to the area of West Main Street to investigate an injury accident March 14 at 6:02 p.m. The officer contacted the driver of a black Ford Fusion and Amanda Clemons, who drove a white Ford Focus. Clemons was cited for failure to yield.
An officer responded to North Avenue to investigate a neighbor dispute March 14 at 8:09 p.m. The officer spoke with the person who reported it. Both parties agreed to avoid contact.
An officer saw a subject wearing all black walking along the east side of West Main Street March 14 at 9:40 p.m. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Converse Road to investigate a suspicious person or trespasser.
An officer responded to Shepper Avenue to investigate a 911 unknown March 15 at 12:12 p.m.
An officer met a subject at the police department for a civil standby March 15 at 5 p.m.
An officer responded to North Avenue to investigate a neighbor complaint March 15 at 10:13 p.m. The officer told the subjects if they felt unsafe, they could seek a civil protection order against the suspect. The suspect claimed the complaints about him were false.
An officer was sent to West South Street to investigate a report of a woman locked in her bathroom March 16 at 12:57 a.m. The officer tried getting the door open, but was unsuccessful. The Pleasant Valley Fire Department arrived on scene and was able to get the woman out of the bathroom.
An officer saw a road hazard on South Chillicothe and East Bigelow streets March 16 at 2:57 a.m. It was removed without issue.
An officer saw, and removed, a road hazard on Center Street March 16 at 1:18 a.m.
An officer responded to Willowbend Circle to investigate a parking complaint March 16 at 8:35 a.m. The officer tried contacting the owner, but was unsuccessful. A short time later, the officer checked the residence again and found the vehicle had been moved.
An officer responded to North Avenue to investigate a parking complaint March 16 at 10:15 a.m. The officer contacted the vehicle owner, who said he would move the vehicle.
An officer was sent to Fanshell Drive to investigate a possible burglary March 16 at 3:24 p.m.
Officers responded to North Chillicothe Street to investigate a suspicious person March 16 at 8:33 p.m. Officers checked the outside of the residence and it didn’t appear anything was missing. Officers found the doors of the home secured and returned to patrol.
An officer saw a road hazard on West Main Street. The officer removed it and returned to patrol.
