According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Wesley J. Brown, 42, of Cable and Kevin G. Thompson, Sr., 35, of Bellefontaine at 7:22 a.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Brown was stopped at the traffic light on the U.S. 33 eastbound off-ramp when the rear of his vehicle was struck by Thompson. Thompson fled the scene but was later located and cited for driving under the influence, driving under the influence .14 and failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. Brown experienced possible injuries and was treated at the scene.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday. The reporting person indicated that unemployment benefits were filed for using their personal information.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies went to the Adult Probation Office on Route 4 to take custody of Jason T. Trosper, 42, of Plain City for a bond violation at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to the Adult Probation Office on Route 4 to take custody of Joseph R. Boerger, 40, of Marysville for a probation violation at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy investigated an assault that occurred at a business in the 19000 block of Northwest Parkway at 12:56 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 19000 block of Route 4 to investigate a fraudulent unemployment claim at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies were sent to a property in the 19000 block of Paver Barnes Road to investigate a dog attacking and killing ducks at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy went to a residence in the 10000 block of Elderberry Drive for an unruly juvenile at 3:17 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies were dispatched to a business in the 7800 block of Industrial Parkway to investigate the theft of multiple tools that were stolen from a trailer that was parked on the property at 4:02 p.m. Wednesday.
