According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Details of traffic accident Monday at 9:22 a.m. have been released.
According to the report, Avanelle Oberlin, 86, of South Maple Street was traveling east on West Sixth Street in a 2014 Honda Accord and stopped at the stop sign on Sixth and Maple. Frenchmen Fuller, 74, of Plain City, was traveling through the intersection on Maple Street in a 2004 Ford F-150 when Oberlin pulled out and struck his vehicle. Fuller’s truck was hit in the rear passenger side causing the vehicle to angle off the roadway and hit a tree.
Both drivers sustained minor injuries. Oberlin was charged with failure to yield the right of way.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy was sent to the area of Route 31 at the Hardin County/ Union County Line to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu that struck a deer Thursday at 2:58 a.m.
A deputy was sent to the 15000 block of U.S. 36 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee that struck a deer Thursday at 7:19 a.m.
Deputies went to a residence in the 18000 block of Bear Swamp Road to investigate a report of possible vandalism to a mailbox Thursday at 8:21 a.m.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 24000 block of Route 31 to investigate a burglary from a locked garage Thursday at 11:24 a.m.
A deputy met with a Delaware City Police Officer to take custody of Shawn M. Hall, 25, of Richwood, for an outstanding arrest warrant Thursday at 12:02 p.m. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies responded to a residence in the 13000 block of U.S. 36 to investigate a report of a person threatening self-harm Thursday at 12:38 p.m. The person was transported to Mary Haven for evaluation.
Deputies responded to a residence in the 10000 block of Hinton Mill Road to investigate a report of telecommunications harassment via text message between boyfriend and girlfriend Thursday at 1:52 p.m. After further investigation, Joshua C. Pond Sr., 44, of Powell, was arrested and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy went to U.S. 33 east bound near milepost 23 to investigate a property damage crash involving 2011 Peterbilt Semi-Truck that struck a deer Thursday at 4:10 p.m.
A deputy went to U.S. 42 near U.S. 33 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2013 Honda Civic that was struck in the rear-end by a Ford F-150 Thursday at 4:45 p.m.
Deputies and units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Jerome Township Fire Department, the Concord Township Fire Department, and the Marysville Division of Fire responded to the area of U.S. 42 near U.S. 33 to investigate a possible injury crash involving a 2011 Toyota Highlander and a 2010 Ford Fusion Thursday at 6:35 p.m.
While on a routine traffic stop on U.S. 33 west of U.S. 42, a deputy arrested Steven P. Clark, 26, of Joliet, Illinois, on an outstanding arrest warrant Thursday at 11:49 p.m. Drugs were also located in the vehicle. Clark was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for drug possession. He was transported to Marysville Police Department and released after posting bond.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol reports:
State Patrol responded to an injury crash on U.S. 33 Friday at 2:18 a.m. David Rawlins, 36, of Galloway, and Zakericia Scott, 40, of Dublin were traveling southeast on U.S. 33 in different vehicles when Rawlins changed lanes and struck Scott’s vehicle. The vehicle overturned and landed on the side of the road. Scott was transported to Memorial Health with minor injuries. According to reports, conflicting stories were given to the officer and the case is being referred to the prosecutor’s office.
