According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Police responded to a report of recovered property on Milford Avenue at 7:21 a.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate an individual found a set of keys and dropped it off to MPD.
Police responded to a report of robbery with a deadly weapon in the 400 block of E. Ninth Street at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday. An 18-year-old male reported he was robbed by a male suspect at Eljer Park.
Police responded to a report of recovered property on County Home Road at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate a black wristlet and social security number card were found on the side of the road.
Police responded to a report of fraudulent telephone use in the 1800 block of Creekview Drive at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday. The reporting person indicated he was victim to a scam when he was trying to rent a home in Marysville.
Police responded to assist another agency in the 600 block of Milford Avenue at 9:03 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate a juvenile was taken to the Central Ohio Youth Center on a probation violation.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 11000 block of U.S. 36 to investigate damage to a window at 6:06 a.m. Wednesday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 10000 block of Kimberly Drive to investigate fraudulent activity involving a bank account at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday.
A deputy went to the Southeastern Regional Jail to take custody of Maureen E. Jenkins, 42, of Lancaster for an outstanding arrest warrant at 9:36 a.m. Wednesday. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the intersection of Brock Road and Jerome Road for an injury crash involving a 2016 Toyota RAV4, a 2012 Honda Civic and a 2015 Toyota RAV4 at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday. One victim was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital.
A Union County deputy met with a Marion Police Department officer to take custody of a juvenile for an outstanding arrest warrant at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday. The juvenile was transported to the Central Ohio Youth Center.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 23000 block of Route 4 to investigate fraudulent charges on a credit card account at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 9500 block of Pinewood Court to investigate harassing messages that were received on a social media account at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol reports:
Troopers responded to the scene of a non-injury crash at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate George Eid, 50, of Marysville was operating a 2018 Jeep Compass westbound on U.S. 33 east of mile post 1 when a Ford F-350 operated by Daniel Gardner, 25, of Plymouth, Indiana struck the rear of Eid’s vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and no injuries were reported. The crash is pending further investigation and no citations have been issued at this time.
Troopers responded to the scene of a non-injury crash at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Linda Ratliff, 62, of Caledonia was operating a 2017 Cadillac XT5 on Route 37 west of Route 4 when her vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2014 Honda Civic driven by Amelia Barker, 28, of Richwood. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and no injuries were reported. Barker was issued a citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Troopers conducted a traffic stop at 8:54 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Pierre Jolly, 28, of Columbus was operating a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on U.S. 33 near mile post 16 when he was stopped for traveling 114 mph in a 70 mph zone. Upon further investigation, marijuana was found on Jolly and his passenger, Journey Howell, 22, of Columbus. He was found not to be under the influence. He and his passenger were cited for possession of drugs and Jolly was cited for the speed violation.
Troopers responded to a non-injury crash at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Katie Ray, 25, of Columbus was traveling east on U.S. 33 east of mile post 18 when she struck a deer. Her vehicle became disabled and was towed from the scene. She was wearing her seatbelt and no injuries were reported. No citations were issued as a result of the incident.
