According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Richard Tyler Buchanan, 35, of Saffron Drive was cited for violating a protection order or consent agreement in the 200 block of E. Fifth Street at 6:52 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate an officer spoke with the victim who stated she has a protection order against Buchanan from a domestic violence incident that occurred the previous week. Buchanan left the scene and later returned and called the victim. The officer made contact with Buchanan near Richwood Bank and asked if he spoke to her earlier. He said he did and was “attempting to reason with her.” He said he knew the temporary protection order restricted contact with the victim.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions in the 1400 block of Creekview Drive at 10:39 p.m. Wednesday. The reporting person indicated he needed a young male removed from his residence.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy responded to the roundabout at Route 161 and Industrial Parkway to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2011 Nissan Sentra that was struck by a 2009 Chevrolet 3500 at 7:46 a.m. Wednesday. The driver of the Chevrolet, Clifford C. Brown, 35, of Waterville was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield the right of way.
A deputy arrested Dale M. Allen, 42, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at the Union County Courthouse at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 17000 block of Clark Dawson Road to investigate a protection order violation at 9:59 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies and units from the Southeast Hardin Northwest Union Joint Fire District responded to a residence in the 18000 block of Cunningham Arbela Road for a person threatening self-harm at 10:08 a.m. Wednesday.
The Union County Dog Warden investigated a dog bite that occurred at a residence in the 19000 block of Powder Lick Road at 11:44 a.m. Wednesday.
A deputy went to the Allen County Jail to take custody of Jenna L. Morrison, 29, of Lakeview for an outstanding arrest warrant at 1:53 p.m. Wednesday. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies and units from the Union Township Fire Department, Marysville Fire Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the 11000 block of Rotue 38 for an injury crash involving a 2000 John Deere Gator that was struck by a 2014 Ford Taurus. Two victims were transported to Memorial Hospital.
A deputy was sent to the Adult Probation Office on Route 4 to take custody of Chelsie L. Still, 27, of Unionville Center for a bond violation at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 24000 block of Route 4 for a domestic dispute between a mother and daughter at 3:41 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy was sent to a property in the 10000 block of Streng Road to take possession of drug paraphernalia that was found at 4:59 p.m. Wednesday.
While investigating a driving complaint, a deputy stopped a 2006 Toyota 4-runner on U.S. 42 near Rickard Road at 5:53 p.m. Wednesday. The driver, Mark S. Kotur, 67, of Galloway was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 23000 block of North Darby Coe Road to investigate a possible runaway juvenile at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday. The juvenile was located.
A deputy met with a resident from the 14000 block of Payne Road to investigate the theft of a chainsaw at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Troopers conducted a traffic stop at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Aref Salak, 28, of Marysville was operating a 2017 Hyundai four-door on U.S. 33 westbound near U.S. 42 when he was stopped for not driving in marked lanes. He was subsequently cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and not driving in marked lanes.
Troopers assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an injury crash on U.S. 38 in front of Fairbanks High School at 2:24 p.m. Wednesday.
Troopers responded to the scene of a property damage crash at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Levi Vondenhuevel, 36, of Continental was operating a 2020 Volvo truck on U.S. 33 westbound near mile post 16. Debra Weiskittle, 46, of Russells Point was operating a 2014 Ford Mustang and Matthew Ladow, 23, of Russells Point was operating a 2018 Honda Civic, both in the same direction as Vondenhuevel. Vondenhuevel’s vehicle experienced equipment failure on a mud flap, causing the mud flap to break away from the vehicle. The mud flap subsequently hit the vehicles of Weiskittle and Ladow. Each driver was wearing their seat belt and none experienced any apparent injuries. Vondenhuevel was cited for operating an unsafe vehicle.
Troopers responded to the scene of a non-injury crash at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday. Ruthann Rankin, 32, of Bellefontaine was operating a 2006 Honda Accord on U.S. westbound near mile post 2 when she struck a deer attempting to cross the roadway. The car was disabled and towed from the scene. She was wearing her seat belt and did not experience any apparent injuries. No citations were issued as a result of the incident.

Reports indicate Kimberly Hassel, 60, of Bellefontaine was operating a 2018 Hyundai Tucson on U.S. 33 westbound near mile post 24 when she struck a deer. She was wearing her seat belt and did not experience any apparent injuries. No citations were issued as a result of the incident.

Reports indicate Kayley Daw, 22, of Marysville was operating a 2019 Honda Civic on U.S. 33 eastbound when she struck a deer.
