According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Tiffany Adams, 41, of Springfield was cited for receiving stolen property in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 2:23 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate her citation stemmed from a June 7 incident in which Michael Lee Ward was charged with theft from Ace Hardware.
Brayden Dow Hobart, 21, of Marysville was cited for criminal damaging and disorderly conduct in the 100 block of Butternut Drive at 3:06 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate the citation stemmed from an incident in which an individual reported a dispute with a drunk male. Hobart allegedly damaged the front door of a home.
Joshua Lee Gingerich, 31, of Richwood was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 100 block of W. Ninth Street at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police responded to a report of theft in the 1800 block of Chiprock Drive at 9:02 a.m. Thursday. Reports indicate an individual reported theft of patio pavers.
Police responded to a report of theft in the 1500 block of W. Fifth Street at 9:42 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate a male pushed items out of Kroger Marketplace without paying for them.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Tim Allen Himler, 61, of Marion and Christopher Jakob McCoy, 19, of Richwood that occurred on Chestnut Street at Fifth Street at 1:22 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate Himler was westbound on Fifth Street and turned left onto Chestnut Street. McCoy was northbound on Chestnut and approached Fifth Street. McCoy stopped as Himler made a turn. Himler’s trailer struck McCoy’s vehicle. McCoy stated he tried to back up to avoid being hit but he could not get his car into reverse fast enough. Reports indicate neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. Himler was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 21000 block of Route 739 to investigate a dispute between a husband and wife concerning tenants on the property at 12:32 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the 9000 block of U.S. Route 42 for an injury crash involving a 2017 Dodge Ram that was struck from behind by a 2018 Dodge Ram at 8:12 a.m. Thursday. The juvenile driver of the 2018 Dodge Ram was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
A deputy was sent to the Adult Probation Office on Route 4 to take custody of Christopher M. Jackson, 25, of Louisville, Kentucky for a bond violation at 10:39 a.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional jail.
A deputy went to Fairfield County to take custody of James L. Ector, 61, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 12:43 p.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
As a result of a traffic stop on State Road near Watkins Road, a deputy arrested David J. Ewing, 33, of Delaware for an outstanding warrant from Delaware County at 1:11 p.m. Thursday. He was transferred to the custody of the Delaware County deputy.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 31000 block of Winnemac Road to investigate the possible theft of services involving a contractor at 2:58 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies and units from the Northern Union County Fire and EMS District and the Liberty Township Fire Department responded to the intersection of Osborne Road and Miller Road for an injury crash involving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze that was struck by a 2009 Dodge Ram at 3:57 p.m. Thursday. One victim was transported to Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet, Michael A. Kin, 67, of Forest was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
A deputy met with a Marysville Police Officer to take custody of Joshua L. Gingerich, 31, of Richwood for an outstanding arrest warrant at 4:25 p.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy went to the Franklin County Jail to take custody of Joshua S. Kinsell, 32, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 6:23 p.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
As a result of a traffic stop on U.S. 33 near Mitchell Dewitt Road, deputies arrested Travon M. Jackson, 23, of Whitehall for an outstanding arrest warrant from Franklin County at 8:52 p.m. Thursday. He was transferred to the custody of a Franklin County deputy.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol reports:
Troopers responded to the scene of a non-injury crash at 4:02 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate Abbra Branan, 43, of Dublin was operating a 2012 Honda Crossfire eastbound on U.S. 33 west of mile post 24 when he struck a deer. The driver was wearing a seat belt and did not experience any apparent injuries. No citations were issued as a result of the incident.
Troopers responded to the scene of a non-injury crash at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate Joshua Dotson, 40, of West Liberty was operating a 2018 Dodge Charger on Route 10 west of U.S. 33 when he was involved in a one-vehicle crash. No injuries were reported. Further details are not currently available as the crash is under investigation.
