According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Police responded to a report of drug abuse (marijuana) and an open container in a stationary motor vehicle in the 500 block of Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate MPD checked on a suspicious person in a vehicle at a store parking lot. The subject reported being homeless and living in his vehicle. Officers seized a “partially smoked marijuana joint.”
Police responded to a report of littering in the 600 block of London Avenue at 7:03 a.m. Wednesday. The reporting person indicated someone threw a dead fish in a bag on her driveway Tuesday. Wednesday she found trash strewn about her driveway.
Police conducted a well-being check in the 100 block of N. Main Street at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Lower Lights Christian Health Center asked MPD to complete a wellness check on a male.
Police responded to the 300 block of Moss Court at 7:31 p.m. Wednesday on a report of an individual who failed to appear in court.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving a juvenile driver and Levi JP Combs, 28, of W. Third Street that occurred on Milford Avenue at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Combs was traveling south on Milford Avenue and the juvenile was traveling north. The juvenile driver turned left in front of Combs’ vehicle. Combs hit the brakes in an attempt to avoid a collision and began to skid and overturned his vehicle. Reports indicate Combs experienced suspected minor injuries. The juvenile was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies and units from the Marysville Fire Department responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Dover County Line Road for a person found unresponsive in the residence at 8:07 a.m. Wednesday. The person was pronounced deceased and the Union County Coroner was called to the scene.
Deputies arrested Troy C. Burgess, 25, of Marion for an outstanding arrest warrant at the Union County Courthouse at 8:41 a.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy responded to U.S. 33 near Beecher Gamble Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2019 Honda Ridgeline that was struck from behind by a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday. The driver of the Mercury, Earl T. Matlock, 50, of Nashport was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 12000 block of Leeper Perkins Road for an unruly juvenile at 4:56 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy was sent to the 100 block of West Center Street in Milford Center to take possession of a Casio GzOne cell phone that was found in the street at 5:44 p.m. Wednesday.
While investigating a driving complaint on U.S. 33, a deputy stopped a 1997 Chevrolet truck in the U.S. 33 westbound rest area at 7:48 p.m. Wednesday. The driver, Conrad J. Brennan, 30, of Plain City was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office.
