According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy went to the Ross Correctional Institute in Chillicothe to take custody of Randy A. Gates, 47, of Marion, for a probation violation Monday at 8:30 a.m. He was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A Union County deputy met with a Logan County deputy to take custody of Norman M. Edwards, 50, of Marion, for an outstanding arrest warrant Monday at 8:33 a.m. He was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to the Adult Probation Office on Route 4 to take custody of Mark R. Osborne, 45, of Columbus, for a bond violation Monday at 10:25 a.m. He was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the 10000 block of Watkins Road for an injury crash involving a 2015 Toyota Prius that lost control, drove off the road, and into a ditch Monday at 10:57 a.m. The driver, Kenneth J. Mescher, 71, of Sidney, was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
A deputy was sent to the 9000 block of Brock Road to investigate a property damage crash involving an unknown vehicle that struck a mailbox and then left the scene Monday at 11:33 a.m.
Deputies and units from the Allen Township Fire Department responded to the 22000 block of Route 245 for a property damage crash involving a 2009 Freightliner semi that drove off the road and into a farm field Monday at 2:54 p.m.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 13000 block of Hinton Mill Road to investigate a domestic dispute between a husband and wife Monday at 3:42 p.m.
A deputy was sent to a property in the 13000 block of Route 4 to investigate a trespassing complaint Monday at 9:21 p.m.
