According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer was dispatched in reference to a suspicious vehicle at the Plain City Aquatic Center on West Second Avenue at 11:26 p.m. Dec. 22. The individual was advised that the pool was closed and left the scene without incident.
An officer was dispatched to East Main Street in reference to a telecommunications harassment complaint at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 22. The caller advised she was receiving unwanted messages from a known subject via social media. After further investigation, none of the messages were threatening or criminal in nature. However, the officer advised the caller to block the sender and have no further contact.
Officers arrested Kenny Mounts on Gray Street at 4:10 p.m. Dec. 22 for a felony probation warrant out of Union County. While conducting a search of his person, prescription medication was found in Mounts’ pocket. Possible felony charges are pending lab analysis of the substance. A Union County Sheriff’s Office deputy then arrived on scene and transported Mounts to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer was dispatched to West South Street at 1:40 p.m. Dec. 22 for a 911 follow-up. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer was dispatched to the Dollar General Store on South Jefferson Avenue at 1:01 p.m. Dec. 22 for an alarm drop.
An officer was dispatched to The Grainery on West Main Street at 4:07 a.m. Dec. 22 in reference to suspicious people at the listed location. The business owner was contacted and requested the parties be removed from the property and warned for trespassing. The parties left without incident.
An officer was dispatched to Madison Street at 2:22 a.m. Dec. 22 in reference to a suspicious person. After further investigation, it was learned that the individual works for Lacko Poured Walls LLC and was installing metal rods for concreting a basement.
An officer was dispatched to Fairfield Drive at 9:39 a.m. Dec. 21 in reference to a well-being check. After speaking to the individual, the officer deemed everything to be fine.
Officers were requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office on U.S. 42 at 5:55 p.m. Dec. 21 in reference to a possible burglary.
Officers responded to Lantern Lane at 6:12 p.m. Dec. 20 in reference to a suicide threat. Upon further investigation, officers learned that the individual did not harm himself and were able to provide him with additional resources.
Officers were requested to assist Madison County Sheriff’s Office deputies at 12:23 a.m. Dec. 20 in reference to suspicious vehicles at Jonathan Alder High School. Officers determined everything to be OK.
Officer found a door at The Grainery on West Main Street to be unsecured at 4:46 a.m. Dec. 19. An employee of the business exited the building and assured the officer everything was OK.
An officer found a door at Buckeye Barbeque and Pizza on West Bigelow Avenue to be unsecured at 4:52 a.m. Dec. 19. The officer checked the business and determined everything checked out to be fine and the door was secured.
An officer observed two vehicles parked in a no parking zone on Ratcliff Lane while on patrol at 2:11 p.m. Dec. 19. Contact was made with both vehicle owners, who moved their cars without incident.
An officer was dispatched to Surrey Court at 4:57 p.m. Dec. 19 in reference to an unconscious person and assisted Pleasant Valley Fire Department until his assistance was no longer needed.
An officer observed a suspicious person inside Smucker Insurance on North Chillicothe Street at 11:17 p.m. Dec. 19. The officer made contact and determined everything to be fine.
Officers responded to South Chillicothe Street at midnight Dec. 18in reference to a 911 follow-up and determined that everything was fine.
An officer was dispatched to Route 42 Bargains on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:49 p.m. Dec. 18 in reference to a non-injury crash. A vehicle leaving the listed location reportedly failed to see the mailbox and struck the mailbox. It caused damage to the vehicle and mailbox. The owner of the business was notified and an incident report was taken.
Officers received a report of a possible domestic violence situation that occurred between family members on North Avenue at 5:02 p.m. Dec. 18. The investigation is currently ongoing.
Officers were requested to assist Medic 261 on Gay Street at 8:39 p.m. Dec. 18. Once their assistance was no longer needed, they returned to patrol.
An officer was dispatched to the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 8:46 p.m. Dec. 18 in reference to a well-being check. The officer made contact with the individual and was advised that everything was fine. After determining everything to be OK, the officer returned to patrol.
Officers responded to the Plain City Public Library on West Main Street at 10:47 p.m. Dec. 18 in reference to an alarm drop and determined everything was OK.
An officer was dispatched to North Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in reference to a noise complaint. The caller reported loud music coming from the listed location. Once the officer arrived he could hear the music, so he notified the resident of the complaint and the music was turned down without incident.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an unconscious person on Sierra Woods Circle at 11:04 a.m. Dec. 17. Once the officer’s assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 6:11 p.m. Dec. 17 in reference to a social media concern between an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend. The investigation is currently ongoing.
Officers responded on a 911 follow-up on Coachman Drive at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 17 and determined that everything was fine.
