According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Police responded to a report of theft in the 1300 block of Bay Laurel Drive at 8:56 a.m. on Tuesday. Reports indicate the complainant advised that he hired a contractor to do work at his house. The complainant said the contractor bill included parts that were never purchased or given to the complainant.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy investigated a dispute between a landlord and tenant that occurred at a residence in the 18000 block of Smokey Road at 7:21 a.m. on Tuesday.
A deputy was sent to the 15000 block of Thompson Road to investigate damage to a corn field caused by an unknown vehicle at 9:25 a.m. on Tuesday.
A deputy investigated the theft of multiple firearms from a residence in the 14000 block of Maple Ridge Road at 9:58 a.m. on Tuesday.
A deputy investigated unwanted telephone calls that were received at a residence in the 20000 block of Route 739 at 2:16 p.m.
Deputies arrested Todd P. Hiles, 42, of Trinidad, Colorado in the 7300 block of Route 161 for an outstanding warrant from the City of Hilliard at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. He was turned over to a Hilliard Police Officer.
Deputies responded to the 21000 block of Route 347 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2019 Honda Ridgeline that struck a 2014 Ford F-150 at 4:19 p.m. on Tuesday.
Deputies met with a resident from the 19000 block of Bear Swamp Road to investigate a fraudulently obtained credit card at 4:47 p.m. on Tuesday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 20000 block of Peoria Loop Road for an unruly juvenile at 5:48 p.m. on Tuesday.
A deputy was sent to residence in the 25000 block of Neel Road to investigate a domestic dispute between a girlfriend and boyfriend at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the 11000 block of Watkins Road for an injury crash involving a 1997 Ford Ranger that was struck by a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee at 6:48 p.m. One victim was transported to Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Ford, Chase M. Henthorn, 22, of Ashland was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
Deputies investigated a property damage crash that occurred on U.S. 33 near Route 161 involving a 2003 Volkswagen Passat that struck a 2005 Jeep Wrangler at 10:17 p.m. on Tuesday. The Volkswagen fled the scene and was found on U.S. 42 where the driver attempted to elude deputies. The vehicle was eventually stopped on Rickard Road. The driver, Franklin L. Tanner, 47, of Dublin was charged with reckless operation and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.
