Village Council re-discusses issue of warrant payments
By Leigh Ann Glass
At the Monday, Aug. 8 Village of Richwood Council meeting, members
again
discussed the issue of the approval of warrants. Fiscal Officer
Don Jolliff
had stated, at the meeting held on July 25, that when he presents
warrants
to Council, they are not for their approval to be paid, they are
presented
so Council can acknowledge what bills have already been paid.
Jolliff informed Council that payments will not be mailed
without approval
of the Village Administrator. Since the position of the
Village
Administrator is currently vacant, Mayor Bill Nibert will approve
the
warrants so the invoices can be paid in a timely manner to avoid
