Arrest made in Richwood area stolen TV ring

Law enforcement officials released information on an
investigation of
stolen high definition televisions allegedly being sold by a
Richwood area
man.
Franklin County Sheriff Jim Karnes reported on
Thursday, Dec. 21, that his
deputies were investigating a grand theft report
from Dublin.

Improvements discussed for high school baseball diamond;

Scott Maruniak informed Board members at the North Union Board
of Education
meeting held on Monday, Dec. 18, about possible improvements
that could be
made to the high school baseball field.
Petitions presented to Council asking for skateboarding park

At the Monday, Dec. 11 Village of Richwood Council meeting, Debbie
Skaggs
addressed members of Council, on behalf of four pages of petitioners,
asking
solons to incorporate a skateboarding park into the Richwood
Park.
Flu Clinic returns to Richwood
The Union County Health
Department, in partnership with Memorial Hospital of
Union County, has
announced that another adult flu clinic will be held
in
Richwood.
Scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m., the clinic
will be held
at the Northern Union County Fire House, 602 N. Franklin St.
Registration
for the clinic will not begin until 1 p.m. The clinic is open
to any person
nine years of age or older who would like a flu shot.
NU District Veterans Memorial reaches goal
The North Union District
Veterans Memorial group has announced that the
initial goal of $90,000, cash
in hand, has been met.
After the groundbreaking ceremony held September 30,
2006 the sale of
Veterans bricks, sidewalk bricks, sidewalk pavers, and the
receipt of
donations was outstanding. Over 515 veteran bricks, 54 sidewalk
bricks
(4'x8') and 31 sidewalk pavers (8'x8') have been purchased.
