talking about her retirement as
superintendent of the North Union Local
School District.
"It's been a
great career and a great challenge," she said recently. "I am
very thankful
for the opportunity, and very proud of all we
have
accomplished."

Village Council members decided to table the third reading of the
new
Parking Ordinance when they met in regular session on Monday, July
24.
Bleacher replacement project
to be completed by July 28

North Union Treasurer Scott Maruniak informed members at the Monday,
July
17 North Union Board of Education meeting, that the bleacher
replacement
project is scheduled for completion by Friday, July 28.
Due to problems at
another location, outside of the state, construction
at the North Union site
has been on hold for the past few days.

REAP in desperate need of supplies
Members of The Rich-wood Emergency Assistance Program (REAP)
met Thursday,
July 13 and heard that monetary and food donations are
very low.
During the April through June quarter, 259 people in the North
Union
School District were assisted with food and grocery store vouchers by REAP.
Contractor awarded bid for Ottawa Ditch Project

Ed Bischoff of Bischoff, Miller, & Associates informed solons at
the
Monday, July 10 Village of Richwood Council meeting that D.E.
Phillips
Excavating, Inc., from Forest, Ohio made a bid on the Ottawa Ditch
Project.
The company made a Base Bid (Phase 1) of $251,000 and an Alternate
Bid
(Phase 2) of $62,000.
