Officer Frazier receives promotion

Richwood Village Council met in regular session on Monday, March 26 at
the Administration Office with Council Peg Wiley absent.
Police Committee Chair Jim Thompson stated that his committee
interviewed three candidates for the sergeant's position, which is
currently open, at the Richwood Police Department (RPD). The Committee
determined that Officer Becky Frazier was the best candidate to fill the
vacancy.

Voter registration deadline near for Special Election
Deadline is fast approaching for voters in the Village of Richwood.
Cutoff is Monday, April 9, at 4 p.m. for anyone wanting to cast their
ballot in the Special Election set for Tuesday, May 8.

RABA Spring Giveaway in progress
Fifteen area businesses have donated merchandise and gift certificates
for one lucky winner in the annual Richwood Area Business Association
(RABA) Spring Giveaway. The prize basket is valued at $200.

Certified Oil Station robbed at gunpoint

Certified Oil Company, located at 25 E. Blagrove Street was robbed at 
gunpoint by an person-unknown on Wednesday, March 14 around 8:20 p.m.

NU Veterans memorial project underway
At long last, the North Union District Veterans Memorial Committees 
have collected all the pieces of the puzzle.

Village Administrator updates Council on various projects

Village Administrator Larry Baxa updated Council on the various 
projects that have been taking place throughout the Village when 
Council met in regular session on Monday, March 12.  Council member 
Wade McCalf was absent.

Petition drive now underway for Getting It Right for Ohio’s Future
Getting It Right For Ohio’s Future is the opportunity for all 
students to have a high quality, fairly funded education place in the 
Ohio Constitution.

New competitions, events planned for 2007 fair
Emerson Drive to highlight entertainment

The Richwood Independent Fair Board has announced new events and 
scheduled entertainment for this year’s fair, set for Wednesday, Aug. 
29 through Monday, Sept. 3.

Village to hold Special Election
Village Council has passed a resolution to hold a Special Election on 
Tuesday, May 8 for voters to decide the fate of a  four-mill renewal 
levy
