Council members heard a plea from three avid fishermen regarding happenings at Richwood Lake. Council member Scott Jerew was absent from the meeting.
General and Mrs. Grant to visit Magnetic Springs

Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th President of the United States, and his wife, Julia, will travel to Magnetic Springs and highlight the Civil War history to the public. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9 and 10. The event is free. Opening ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. A tent church service will be held Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
