The North Union Board of Education approved a resolution selecting Garmann Miller as the most qualified design professional for outdoor improvement projects and architect of record services during its organizational meeting and work session on Saturday.

Ohio gubernatorial candidate Joe Blystone recently announced North Union High School alumnus Staff Sgt. Jeremiah Workman as his running mate.
Workman, a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps, said he is seeking the Lt. Gov. position to defend constitutional rights.

Local first responders have released their statistics for the 2021 year.
The Richwood Police Department consists of Chief Monte Asher, Lt. Jim Hill, Sgt. Justin Baldwin, Officer Kiena Crees, Officer Joe North, Officer Woody Geer, Officer Cody Martindale and Officer Cole Brown. Clerk Josh Rayburn continues to volunteer at the police department.

NU student shows horses in world competitions

North Union freshman Kailee Rife competed in 17 horse shows in five different
states in 2021, including the American Quarter Horse Youth Association World
Show in Oklahoma City.
Rife competes in reining shows, which occur indoor, year-round.

The Richwood Revitalization Committee is working on a proposal to request appropriations from the 2022 state capital budget designated to local community infrastructure projects.
