RICHARD HAROLD DOYLE
Richard Harold Doyle, 78, of Trumann, Ark., passed away Wednesday, 
April 29, 2009, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, in Jonesboro, Ark. 
He was born November 7, 1930 in Essex, to the late Joseph Francis and 
Frances Marian (Seaman) Doyle.

DARLENE ANN GILLILAND
Darlene Ann (Burling) Gilliland, born in Bucyrus on March 26, 1941, 
to Alvin and Reatha M. (Ward) Burling, passed away Monday evening, 
April 20, 2009 at the Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville, after a 
brief struggle with cancer.

DARRYL W. COX
Darryl W. Cox, 44, of Richwood, died unexpectedly Monday, April 27, 
2009 at Memorial Hospital of Union County.  Arrangements are pending 
with Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.

FRED LONG
Fred Long, 70, of Crown City, former resident of the Green Camp area 
and 20 year resident of Three Rivers, Mich., died Wednesday, April 
22, 2009, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, following a short 
battle with cancer. Born July 9, 1938, in Marion, he was a son of the 
late Alfred and Martha (Bauer) Long.

MILDRED EVANS MCNEAL
Mildred Evans McNeal, 97, of Prospect, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 
at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 2, 
1912 in Powell to the late Hazel Martin Evans Brim and James Charles 
Evans.

JAMES “JIMMY” LESLIE PAUL RODGERS
James “Jimmy” Leslie Paul Rodgers, 27, of Marion, passed away 
Wednesday morning, April 22, 2009, in Richwood. He was born to Stacy 
Rodgers and Kimberly (Polk) Cottrill on October 29, 1981, in Marion.

DANA E. SHOUP
Dana E. Shoup, 74, of Bradenton, Fla. and formerly of Findlay, died 
Thursday, April 23, 2009 at his residence.  He was born on July 23, 
1934, in Richwood, to the late Clarence and Jane (Staley) Shoup.

TIMOTHY BERG
Timothy Berg, 51, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away suddenly as a result of 
an auto accident, Monday, April 13, 2009. He was born March 16, 1958 
to the late Arnold (Whitey) and Margaret Berg.

CHARLES E. JORDAN
Charles E. Jordan, 83, of Richwood, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at 
Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born February 25, 1926 in 
Greenup, Ky., to the late Orville and Cora (Tripplet) Jordan.

CHARLOTTE ROSE MEHAFFEY
Charlotte Rose Mehaffey, 75, of Ashley, died Thursday afternoon, 
April 16, 2009 at her home. She was born February 22, 1934, in 
Delaware, to the late Henry H. and Rose (Chaney) Matthews.

MARK W. WOLF
Mark W. Wolf, 40, of Delaware, died early Monday morning, April 20, 
2009, at Grady Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and 
friends after a short, tough battle with cancer. He was born May 23, 
1968 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

DARLENE A. GILLILAND
Darlene A. Gilliland, 68, of Raymond, died Monday evening April 
20, 2009 at the Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville.

MARTHA LOUISE  SHEARER KILFIAN
Martha Louise Shearer Kilfian, 95, of Richwood, died Sunday, April 
12, 2009 at Primrose Retirement Community in Marion. She was born 
June 18, 1913, in Delaware, to the late Edward Sylvester and Carrie 
Dell (Waugh) Henry.

CHARLES E. JORDAN
Charles E. Jordan, 83, of Richwood, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at 
Riverside Methodist Hospital. Arrangements are pending with Stofcheck-
Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.

RUTH E. BLUE
Ruth E. Blue, 78, of Marion, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Marion 
General Hospital. She went to be with her Lord. She was born 
September 17, 1930, in Richwood, to the late Harry L. and June E. 
(Dyer) Young.

GOLDA KATE COCHRAN
Golda Kate Cochran, 94, of LaRue, died Saturday Morning, April 4, 
2009, at Heartland of Marion. She was born November 13, 1914, in 
Normantown, W. Va. to the late Brooks Bentley and Rebecca Bernice 
(James) Bond.

PAUL JOE CRAFT
Paul Joe Craft, 67, of Marion, died Friday, April 3, 2009 at 
Marion General Hospital, following an extended illness.  He was born 
October 23, 1941 in Siloam, Ky., to the late David Edgar and Leona 
(Conkel) Craft.

FLORA MAE RICE
Flora Mae Rice, 87, of Loretto, Tenn., formerly of the Richwood area, 
died Thursday evening, April 2, 2009 at the Maury Regional Hospital 
in Columbia, Tenn. She was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Marion, to the late 
Eldridge and Isabelle (Miller) French.

RICHARD D. SHAW
Richard D. Shaw, 78, of Richwood, died Sunday afternoon April 5, 2009 
at the Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born July 19, 1930, in Sioux City, Iowa, to the late Jack 
Perry and Anna Lee (McGee) Shaw.

JAMES EDWARD SOMERLOT
James  Edward "Jim" Somerlot, 52, of Wabash, Ind., died at 3 a.m., 
Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center in 
Wabash. He was born October 24, 1956 in Delaware, Ohio to Lowell L. 
and Wanda L. (Easterday) Somerlot.
