James Orville Bayes, 72, of Richwood, died Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Union County. He was born July 5, 1942, in Pike County, to the late John Raymond and Thelma (Robinett) Bayes.

ERNEST F. CRAMER
Ernest F. Cramer, 93, of Richwood, died Monday morning, July 28, 2014, at Milcrest Nursing Center in Marysville. He was born May 12, 1921, in Union County, to the late Clyde and Clara Cramer.

NINA E. CUNNINGHAM BUMGARNER
Nina E. Cunningham Bumgarner, 91, of Richwood, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Primrose Assisted Living in Marion. She was born Feb. 11, 1923, in Dover Township, to the late Walter and Blanche (Liggett) Low.

HARVEY “AL” DOSS
Harvey “Al” Doss, 81, of Richwood, formerly of LaRue, died peacefully early Monday morning, July 21, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Springfield, to the late Harvey M. and Helen Lydia (Knott) Doss.

GEORGE W. “BILL” NICOL
George W. “Bill” Nicol, age 78, of Marysville, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was a retired dairy and grain farmer. He was born May 26, 1936, at the Nicol homestead, the son of the late Gerhardt F. and Matilda Streng Nicol.

EDITH M. SCHMELZER
Edith M. Schmelzer, 93, of Richwood, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at her home. She was born Sept. 2, 1920, in Nantwich, Cheshire, England, to the late William and Elizabeth Hill.

VIRGINIA ROUX GREENWOOD
Virginia Roux Greenwood, age 96, of rural New Bloomington, died Sunday July 13, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on Nov. 19, 1917, in Marion County, to the late Harold and Lois Susan Caroline (Dickason) Roux.

CHARLES R. LAUER
Charles R. Lauer, 88, of Prospect, died Monday evening, July 7, 2014, at his home. He was born April 17, 1926, in Prospect, to the late Samuel and Hazel (Thomas) Lauer.

ELMER DALE “ELMO” SIMPSON
Elmer Dale “Elmo” Simpson, 59, of Richwood, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Heartland of Marysville. He was born May 10, 1955, in Marysville, to the late Elmer Lloyd and Dorothy Fannie (Mayes) Simpson.
