Bridges Community Action Partnership’s Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) programs are available to provide eligible Ohioans with assistance with their home energy bills.
HEAP is a federally funded program that applies a one-time benefit directly to the customer’s utility bill or bulk fuel bill.
Those with a household income at or below 175% of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible for the program.

PIPP helps eligible Ohioans manage their energy bills year-round. Payments are based on a percentage of household income.
Those whose homes are heated with gas will have a monthly payment of 6% of their household income for their natural gas bill and 6% of household income for their electric bill. Those who heat with electric will have a monthly payment of 10% of their household income.
Those who make 24 on-time and in-full monthly payments will have their outstanding balance with their utility company eliminated.
Those who are enrolled in the PIPP program must re-verify their income each year.
Ohioans with a household income at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines and have utility service from an electric or natural gas company regulated by the Public Utility Commission of Ohio are eligible.

Households applying for HEAP and PIPP must report total gross household income for the past 30 days for all members, except wage or salary income earned by dependent minors under 18 years old.
To apply, begin the application online at energyhelp.ohio.gov and contact Bridges Community Action Partnership at (937) 642-4986 to complete it. Bridges will inform applicants of required documents.
At this time, Bridges is working remotely and will not require face to face appointments. Bridges will schedule appointments over the phone and will send applications to clients, as well as allow clients to pick them up in the lobby at 232 N. Main Street, Suite G, Marysville.
