Alder cagers top London

Jackson Izzard scored 21 points on Friday as Jonathan Alder’s boys basketball team downed London, 49-37.
The Pioneers (9-2) jumped out to a 14-4 lead after the first period and took an 18-10 margin into the halftime break.
The Red Raiders outscored Alder, 16-4, during the third set.
In doing so, they took a 26-22 lead.
The Pioneers rallied with 27 points during the fourth quarter to win the game.

Lady Monarchs fall
Marysville’s girls varsity hoop squad dropped a 43-34 verdict at Hilliard Davidson.
The Lady Monarchs (4-9) got off to a slow start and trailed 15-7 by the end of the first quarter.
Davidson upped its halftime advantage to 23-15 and took a 37-23 lead into the final eight minutes of action.
Sydney Lee tallied all eight of Marysville’s points during the third quarter.

Fairbanks’ boys slipped to 6-6 with a 64-51 loss to Greenon.
FHS trailed 16-10 at the end of the first quarter, but fell behind, 34-20, by halftime.
Greenon took a 49-33 margin into the fourth quarter.

Cardinals drop game
Triad’s boys saw their record slip to 0-8 overall and 0-6 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with a 64-39 loss to Southeastern.
The Cardinals fell behind, 13-6, in the first quarter, but limited Southeastern to two points during the second period.
Triad trailed, 15-13, at the break.
The Trojans took a 50-26 lead into the final period.
