The Pioneers of Jonathan Alder took top honors at the Dublin Jerome Celtic Clash on Saturday, beating the field of 11 schools with a combined team score of 53 points. North Union was able land in the middle of the pack with a score of 141 points for fifth place.
Gavin Frick of Jon Alder took second place overall out of 97 runners with a time of 15:53.
Luke Malone finished the 3.1-mile course in a time of 16:04 for third place. Adam Brown of North Union got in the mix with a fifth-place finish in a time of 16:36 as the Wildcats’ top performer.
Michael Gray of Alder found himself in the top 10 with a ninth-place finish in a time of 16:44.
The remaining runners’ times were as follows:

The Lady Pioneers also took top honors at the meet with a team score of 49 points. The Lady Cats struggled with ninth-place finish and 222 points.
Maddie Davis was the Lady Pioneers’ top performer with a second-place finish in a time of 18:04. Morgan Hicks took third with a time of 19:26. Madison Killian finished the course in 20:07 for 11th place.

The Pioneers will run Saturday at the Pickerington North Invitational, while the Wildcats will host their annual North Union Invitational on Saturday.
