The high school baseball regular season will conclude by this coming weekend.
As such, teams will enter post-season competition next week.
Tournament action will begin for local teams next Monday, May 17 at 5 p.m.
That’s when the Marysville Monarchs will open the Division I post-season.
MHS is seeded 31st in the Central District tournament.
Marysville will begin its tournament trek at home against No. 34 Columbus Briggs.
Southwest District competition will start for Triad’s baseball squad on Wednesday, May 19, 5 p.m.
The Cardinals earned the Southwest’s No. 10 seed in Division III.
They will travel to play fifth-seeded Indian Lake.
Jonathan Alder, Fairbanks and North Union will all begin post-season action on Thursday, May 20.
All of the games that day will begin at 5 p.m.
The Pioneers earned the seventh seed in Division II.
Jonathan Alder is scheduled to host the winner of the game between No. 9 Utica and No. 21 Hamilton Township.
Fairbanks drew the No. 10 seed in Division III.
The Panthers will travel to No. 8 Mount Gilead.
North Union was put in the No. 14 slot for Division III.
The Wildcats will make the short trip to play at No. 4 Marion Pleasant.
