MHS, which is seeded No. 14, will begin what it hopes is a long trek down the post-season trail on Wednesday, May 15.
The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. when Marysville hosts either No. 26 Big Walnut or No. 34 Chillicothe.
The BW-Chillicothe contest in the first round is scheduled for Monday, May 13.
The Pioneers of Jonathan Alder also earned a first-round bye in the Division II tournament.
Alder, the No. 4 seed, will host the winner of the No. 8 Bloom-Carroll and No. 21 Columbus Marion Franklin contest.
The top three seeds in Division II are Columbus Bishop Hartley, Hebron Lakewood and Columbus Bishop Watterson.
JA’s first tournament contest will be on Thursday, May 16, at 5 p.m.
The Bloom-Carroll/Marion Franklin game will be played on Tuesday, May 14.
The North Union Wildcats have earned the No. 6 seed in Division III.
NU will host its first post-season contest on May 16 at 5 p.m.
The Wildcats’ opponent will be either No. 10 Columbus Academy or No. 18 Madison-Plains.
That first-round game will be played on May 14.
Fairbanks’ baseball squad will also open D-III tournament action on May 16 at 5 p.m.
The Panthers are seeded seventh and will travel to No. 8 Johnstown-Monroe.
The top five seeds in the Division III tournament are West Jefferson, East Knox, Fredericktown, Grandview and Liberty Union.
Triad’s baseball squad earned the No. 4 seed in Division IV for the Southwest District tournament.
The Cardinals will host No. 5 Mississinawa Valley on May 13, 5 p.m.
The top three seeds for the Dayton district are Fort Loramie, Mechanicsburg and Sidney Lehman.
