Marysville’s varsity boys golf team defeated Dublin Scioto, 174-192, during a recent match.
Caden Fulkerson and Gavin Cossette each carded a 42 to lead the Monarchs.
Justin DeHoff shot a 44, followed by Alden Prohaska-46, Cole Weaver-46 and Dylan DeLauter-48.
Girls hit goal
Marysville’s girls golfers kept their goal of staying below 400 with a 392.
That score came Saturday during the annual Midwest Classic in Canton.
Coach Juliet Litzel cited the improved play of Emily Williams and Cassi Van Dyke as a reason for the score.
Hathaway Brown took first place in the 20-team match with a 347.
The Lady Monarchs placed ninth in the match.
Olivia Ishmael led MHS with a 96, followed by Van Dyke-97, Williams-99 and Avery Prohaska-100.
Team falls

The Monarchs fell at Pickerington North, 3-1.
