Spencer Keller of Galion won his first title in the 16-18 division at the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament held at Golf Club of Bucyrus on Wednesday.
Keller’s 34-41-75 and Justin Brackenridge of Fairbanks 39-36-75 tied for first.
The two meet for one more hole in a playoff where Keller’s long putt nabbed a par to win top honors, placing Brackenridge second. Keller garnered 10 pars and three birdies, while Brackenridge numbered 10 pars and two birdies.
Fairbanks Travis Brake scored 84 for fifth, and Alex Pratt of Pleasant was next at 85 in the oldest group.
Mason Rinehart of Pleasant captured first in 13-15 scoring 79, and Minoy Shah of Pleasant and Alex Crowe of Fairbanks edged in to win a tie for second with 80’s. River Valley’s Thomas Kaufman managed fourth at 81, while Max Longwell of Galion was next at 82 followed by Andrew Crowe of Fairbanks, 86.
The next HOJGA tournament in the series will be held at Valley View on July 15.
