Cardinal boys claim title at Riverside Invitational

Triad’s boys track and field squad won the Riverside Invitational with 141 points over the weekend.
Lima Perry was the runner-up with 133, followed by Riverside-79, Jackson Center-67, Calvary Christian-52 and Sidney Christian-10.
Jackson Center won the girls meet with 126 points, followed by Riverside-121, Triad-56, Perry-37, Calvary Christian-32 and Sidney Christian-24.
Highlights for the Cardinals were as follows:
Boys
-Shot put: Riley Louck, first, 38-6; Brian Ferguson, second, 37-2;
-Discus: Louck, first 116-8; Easton Huffman, fourth, 98-7;
-Long jump: Kohl Eggleston and Mason Harper, tied for sixth, 15-6;
-High jump: Hayden Simpson and Eli Carson, tied for sixth, 5-0;
-110 hurdles: Simpson, third, 18.68;
-100 dash: Eli O’Brien, first, 11.59;
-1600 run: Andrew O’Neal, first, 4:48.53; Chris Roy, fourth, 5:22.91;
-400 dash: Dimitri Hollingworth, fourth, 1:02.75;
-800 run: Carson, third, 2:28.58; O’Neal, fifth, 2:20;
-200 dash: O’Brien, first, 23.16;
