The Marysville JV softball team won a hard-fought, 2-0 victory over Upper Arlington on Saturday.
The score was deadlocked at 0-0 until the fifth inning.
Avery Prohaska started the inning with a triple.
Sydney Calhoon laid down a sacrifice bunt to score Prohaska.
Maya Segner got things going in the sixth with a single.
She advanced to third when Skyer North reached on a bunt single.
Chloe Hemminger provided a bunt single to score Segner for the final run.
Caitlin Regel handcuffed Upper Arlington as she allowed just two hits and fanned eight.

Marysville’s JV baseball squad toppled Triad, 9-3.
Lucas Miller, Luke Bonczak, Chase Adkins and Noah Bowers each had multiple-hit games.
Connor Smith started on the mound for the Jr. Monarchs.
He fanned eight batters and allowed just one free pass during four innings of work.
Adkins pitched the final three frames and allowed just one hit during his first appearance on the bump this season.
The Monarchs (12-3) will play at Olentangy Berlin today.

Bunsold team wins
The BMS eighth-grade baseball team ran its record to 7-0.
The Monarchs swept a twinbill from Worthington by scores of 13-8 and 23-2.
The winning pitchers were Isiah Brooks and Griffin Michael.
Jake Fisher collected six hits on the day, while Jackson Dempsey tallied four.
The Monarchs will play today at Olentangy Liberty.
