The Marysville Elite 17U team lost a tight battle of 2-1 to the Kaneland Knights at the King’s Island Classic Sunday.
Jack Christian got the nod to take the mound to start the game and was able to strikeout out two Knights while giving up six hits and two earned runs during the loss.

Elite had no answer to the 2-0 lead until late in the 7th inning when they where able to post their first run of the game, but the damage had already been done.
Christian led the team in the offensive categories with a double on two hits during four appearances at the plate. Connor Parks went 0-3 at the plate, but was able to score Marysville’s Noah Brown, who went 1-3 at the plate, on a sacrifice fly.
