The varsity boys soccer team from Fairbanks had little trouble rolling past Madison Plains on Thursday.
The Panthers (4-7-2) clubbed the Golden Eagles, 14-0.
Dylan Tobe netted a pair of goals during the first 20 minutes of the opening period.
FHS held an 8-0 advantage later in the initial half and had no trouble coasting to the victory.
No other details about the match were available at presstime.
Lady Monarchs triumph
Marysville’s varsity girls soccer squad improved its record to 9-2-3 with a 2-1 victory over Upper Arlington.
The triumph upped MHS’ Ohio Capital Conference Central Division record at 3-1.
The first goal was scored by the Golden Bears, but Marysville quickly responded with a goal by Jenna Rioch.
With very little time left in the first half, Kass Lee moved Marysville into the lead with an unassisted free kick over the keeper.
The Lady Monarchs maintained the lead during the second half.
Brielle Young tallied four saves in the net for MHS.
Monarchs fall
Marysville’s boys fell to Upper Arlington, 2-1.
A strong first half for the Monarchs (7-6-0) just wasn’t enough to get the win, according to coach Terry Smith.
Nick McIntosh scored MHS’ goal.
Grant Kaifas had seven saves.
FHS girls drop game
The Lady Panthers fell to Bloom Carroll, 6-1, in non-conference action.
Lillian Dean scored FHS’ goal.
Avery Groves finished with seven saves.
The Lady Panthers are 9-4-1 on the season.
The Lady Panthers will host West Jefferson at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The Fairbanks boys will then play the Roughriders at noon.
It will be senior day for both the Fairbanks girls and boys teams.
