Fairbanks’ boys golf squad won the annual Panther Invitational on Tuesday.
The Panthers carded a team score of 324, followed by Jonathan Alder-336, Pleasant-344, Madison Plains-379, Ridgedale-386, Mechanicsburg-391, Northeastern-408, Urbana-410 and Buckeye Valley-435.
Travis Brake led the Panthers with a 74, followed by Seth Payne-81, Alex Crowe-81, Logan Bocsy-88, Andrew Crowe-98 and JD Welch-116.
Mitchell Hayden topped Jonathan Alder with an 80.
He was followed by Mychal Kelvey-82, Tyler Hilbert-87, Liam Thompson-87, Chase Pond-91 and Matthew Fox-92.
North Union had three golfers in the field and did not finish with a team score.
Cody Rausch led the Wildcats with an 88, followed by Garrett Podouano-116 and Nathan Matlock-134.
JVs fall
Marysville’s JV boys golf team opened its season on Tuesday with a 369-370 loss to Upper Arlington.
The match was played at Raymond Memorial Golf Course.
Wes McHenry led the Jr. Monarchs with an 86, followed by Johnathon Cusack-94, Justin DeHoff-95 and Nick Wever-95.
