Fairbanks’ boys golf squad shot a 340 and finished as runner-up during a Division III sectional tournament on Tuesday.
Worthington Christian won the sectional title with a score of 330 at Darby Creek.
The Panthers will now advance to next week’s district tournament at Denison Golf Club.
Alex Crowe led the Panthers with an 80.
He was followed by Chase Brackenridge-81, Tyler Ufferman-87, Andrew Crowe-92 and JD Welch-96.

Triad’s Cole Pond shot an 80 during a D-III sectional tournament on Tuesday in Shelby.
In doing so, he advanced as an individual to next week’s district tournament at Beavercreek.
The Cardinals placed fifth as a team with a score of 356.
Other Triad scores were Ryan Gross-90, Matt Richards-91 and Devin Butz-95.
