Fairbanks High School will need to make room in its trophy case for another piece of hardware.
The Lady Panther golf squad shot a 414 at Windy Knoll on Monday to capture the Ohio Heritage Conference tournament championship.
FHS edged Greenon (416) for the title.
Other team scores were Northeastern-430, Triad-435, Madison Plains-452, Mechanicsburg-456, Southeastern-462 and Greeneview-472.
Fairbanks’ Veronique Grand tied for medalist honors as she carded a 96 for the 18-hole competition.
Additional Panther scores were Shelby Jones-100, Allison Kise-107, Gabby Vamos-111, Kaylee Mitton-113 and Mary Weisburn-118.
Kayleigh Boldman of Triad earned first-team OHC honors as she shot a 99.
She was followed by Olivia Butz-105 (second team), Anna Nott-114 (honorable mention), Kallie Smith-117 and Shelby Sheets-143.
Panthers triumph
The Fairbanks boys also continued their dominance in the OHC with a 176-235 verdict over Mechanicsburg.
FHS’ Justin Brackenridge was the medalist with a 39. He was followed by Travis Brake-45, Seth Payne-46, Logan Bocsy-46, Alex Crowe-46 and Aidan Wilson-46.
The Panthers are now 15-0 in the OHC.
Pioneers go unbeaten in CBC
Jonathan Alder’s boys golf team wrapped up the Central Buckeye Conference portion of its season with a 157-187 victory over Kenton Ridge.
The Pioneers finished the CBC slate with a 10-0 record.
Mychal McKelvey of JA was the medalist with a 37. Tyler Hilbert and Liam Thompson both carded 39s and Hayden Mitchell finished with a 42.
Lady Cats triumph
North Union’s girls scored a 219-272 verdict over Graham.
Maddy Snyder led NU with a 45, followed by Cami Craft-51, Katlyn Saunders-61, Kendra Nicol-62, Grace Swank-67 and Lilly Taylor-78.
Cardinals fall
Triad’s boys fell to Northeastern, 172-183.
Cardinal scores were Cole Pond-44, Jalen Nott-45, Ryan Grose-46, Coy Knotts-48, Devin Butz-50 and Payton Oyer-51.
MHS places at match
The Marysville High School boys golf team placed 18th on Saturday during the 19-team Rodney Butt Classic at Granville High School.
The Monarchs shot a 366.
Wellington won with a score of 306.
No individual scores were reported for Marysville.
