FHS spikers go to 9-0


Fairbanks’ varsity volleyball team ran its record to 9-0 (6-0 in the Ohio Heritage Confernece) on Thursday with a 25-21, 25-16, 25-21 victory over Springfield Catholic Central.
Individual stats were as follows:
-Megan King: 11/13 passing, 22/24 attacks, eight kills, seven blocks;
-Mikayla Mansfield: 15/16 serving, eight points, 57/60 passing;
-Abbey Hubbs: 29/34 passing 32/33 attacks, seven kills;
-Kelsey Thorbahn: 12/12 serving, seven points, 35/42 passing 42/46 attacks, 12 kills;
-Brooke Kleiber: 14/19 attacks five kills;
-Kasey Carstensen: 21/23 attacks, five kills
-Kaidie Carstensen: 61/63 setting, 17 assists, 19/21 attacks, 12 kills;
-Jenay Kocsis: 16/18 serving, eight points, 60/61 setting, 25 assists.
JA spikers win
The Jonathan Alder varsity volleyball squad downed Northwestern on Thursday in three sets (no scores reported).
Ava Francis led the Lady Pioneers with nine kills as Alder improved to 3-0 in Central Buckeye Conference competition.
Kortney Reynolds finished with eight kills.
McKenzie Wright had 15 assists.
