Fairbanks’ varsity volleyball team improved to 7-3 overall and 6-1 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with a 20-25, 25-6, 23-25, 25-20, 15-12 victory over Southeastern on Tuesday.
FHS stats for the match were as follows:
-Kaidie Carstensen: 11 kills, 11 points, five ace serves:
-Taylar Sphapmixay: 14 assists, 13 serves, six aces;
-Cassie Lamb: 15 points, 64 sets;
-Lizzie Nicol: seven points, three kills, 45 passes;
-Jayda Rausch: 13 attacks, five kills;
-Emma Griffey: 13 attacks;
-Anna Higbee: 17 serves, 11 points, seven kills;
-Olivia Vollrath: 15 serves, 10 points.
Bunsold teams win
Marysville’s seventh-grade Blue spikers beat Worthingway 25-23, 21-25, 26-24.
Leading the team in digs during Wednesday’s match was Eliana Borjas with 12.
Leah Powers had seven digs and Carli Stratton added six.
Paityn Hoskins and Danika Doren both had four kills.
Ari Nusbaum and Danika Doren each contributed eight assists.
The Bunsold Red spikers topped Patriot Academy 25-7, 25-10.
Sydney Amrine tallied nine of the Lady Monarchs’ 25 aces.
