The Lady Cardinals (2-11 overall and 2-7 in the Ohio Heritage Conference) made only two-of-10 from the charity stripe.
The Golden Gophers, on the other hand, connected on 15-of-28.
Ridgemont hit eight charity tosses during the fourth quarter to help seal the win.
The Gophers jumped out to a 20-15 lead after the opening quarter.
The Lady Cardinals (who will host Greeneview on Thursday) managed just a pair of points from Frani LeVan during the ensuing period.
As such, Triad trailed, 31-15, at the halftime break.
Levan and sister Cati combined for 14 points during the third quarter, enabling Triad to pull to within 40-39.
Frani LeVan tossed in eight of her team-high 23 points during the fourth set as Triad fell just short of victory.

Cardinal squads win
Triad’s junior high boys swept Madison Plains on Monday.
The seventh-grade improved to 7-2 with a 30-23 victory.
Triad’s Caleb Thomas led all scorers with 16 points.
Holden LeVan added eight.
The eighth-grade ran its record to 5-4 with a 51-29 triumph.
Kane Bailey topped the Cardinals with 14 points, while Matthew Yocom added 12.

Jaguars on roll
The St. John’s boys basketball team has won four consecutive games.
Included in the string was a 36-33 buzzer-beating win over previously-undefeated New Hope Christian Academy.
Mac Rausch tossed in a half-court trifecta to win the game.
St. John’s also beat Oakstone Academy, 23-13, as Leo Rausch tallied 13 points.
The Jaguars edge Polaris Christian, 29-28.
St. John’s downed Torah Academy, 41-27.
Noah Fonner led the team with 12 points.
