Gymnasts place second during tri match

The Lady Monarch gymnastics team finished as runner-up during a triangular meet on Wednesday.
Thomas Worthington won the competition with 128.6 points.
MHS was second with 126.55 and Central Crossing tallied 121.55.
Marysville’s overall record stands at 2-2 after the meet.
The Lady Monarchs’ results were as follows:
-Vault: Monica Lamb, fourth, 8.0; Kelsey Murphy, fifth, 7.9; Bella Grimm, sixth, 7.85.
-Bars: Brianna Watkins, first, 8.35; Hannah Bates, fifth, 7.25.
-Beam: Chloe Baschnagel, first, 8.65; Brianna Watkins, second, 8.55.
-Floor exercise: Avery Murphy, fourth, 8.25; Abbey Bates/Kelsey Murphy, fifth, 8.2; Hannah Scheiderer, sixth, 8.05.
The Lady Monarchs will host Olentangy, Thornville Sheridan, Upper Arlington and Grove City on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
The event will mark senior night for the Lady Monarchs. Competition will begin at 6:30 p.m.
