Marysville’s girls gymnastics team placed second during a quad meet earlier this week.
Thornville Sheridan won the meet with 142.5 points.
The Lady Monarchs tallied 127.55, followed by Buckeye Valley-112.75 and Big Walnut-112.75
Top 10 finishes for MHS were as follows:
-Vault: Mary Calvert, fifth, 8.15; Makayla Tocci, sixth, 8.05; Lauren Deere, tenth, 7.9;
-Bars: Calvert, fourth, 8.4; Megan Erickson, eighth, 7.5; Hannah Bates, ninth, 7.2;
-Beam: Tocci, sixth, 8.35; Grace Keller, seventh, 8.2; Deere, ninth, 8.15; Kaylene Baschnagel, tenth, place, 8.1;
-Floor: Calvert, fifth, 8.6; Tocci, sixth, 8.5;
-All-Around: Calvert, fourth, 33.05; Baschnagel, seventh, 30.4; Erickson, tenth, 29.95.
The Lady Monarchs are 16-9 overall and 6-1 in the Ohio Capital Conference.
They will compete in the OCC match at 8:40 a.m. Saturday at Thomas Worthington High School.
