The Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association made its way to town when the third of seven golf matches teed off at Marysville Golf Club on Wednesday.
The Heart of Ohio league is made up of 33 golfers who come from seven different counties and tour the golf courses of the counties that make up the league.
Union County is represented by several golfers from Fairbanks.
Todd Crowe II was the top golfer from the Panthers’ crew and second overall with a 9-over-81. Crowe started out slowly, collecting a double-bogey and two bogies on the first three holes. However, two birdies and three pars helped Crowe collect a 4-over after nine holes. Crowe struggled on the back nine with five bogies to finish the day at 9-over.
Fellow Panther Justin Brackenridge, finished his day on the links with an 11-over 83 to claim the third spot. Brackenridge had an up-and-down day on the front nine, notching one birdie and two pars. He was able to shave off three strokes on the back nine with one birdie and three pars.
Aiden Wilson was the last of the Panther crew in the 16-18 group when he scored a 15-over 87 for the sixth spot in a field of 10 golfers. Wilson finished the front nine with two birdies and two pars to score a 41. He struggled with the back nine only collecting par on the 17th hole and finishing with 46 strokes.
The remaining youth golfers of the Crowe family, Alexander and Andrew, finished in sixth and seventh respectively in the 13-15 age group. Alexander carded a 93, while Andrew finished with a 96.
The tour will continue on its next stop at Pine Lakes.
