Jonathan Alder High School senior Jacob Schrock has made quite a name for himself over the past few years at the bowling alley.
Schrock earned four varsity letters during his high school career as he helped lead the Pioneers to a great deal of success.
He assisted the program in capturing three consecutive Central District championships and back-to-back Central Buckeye Conference crowns.
Jonathan Alder also earned Division II state runner-up honors in 2018 and 2019.
Schrock, who earned second-team All-Ohio accolades as a sophomore, capped his senior season earlier this week by being named the Central District’s senior boys bowler of the year.
The award was presented by the Ohio High School Bowling Coaches Association.
Schrock rolled a 300 game during the 2019-20 campaign.
The Pioneer senior will continue his academic and bowling careers at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky.
He received an academic-bowling scholarship.
Pikeville is an NAIA school that competes in the Mid-South Conference.
“Jacob is perhaps one of most coachable bowlers I have ever had,” said Jonathan Alder head coach Rusty Walter. “He is just a great young man representing the sport of bowling.”
