Jonathan Alder’s boys hoop squad ran its record to 14-2 with Saturday’s 59-34 triumph over Reynoldsburg.
The game was played at Ohio Dominican University.
Henry Walker scored 18 points to lead the Pioneers (who will host Benjamin Logan on Tuesday).
He was joined in double figures by Jackie Santa-Emma with 16 and Jackson Izzard with 13.
Jonathan Alder clamped down on Reynoldsburg’s offense during three of the four quarters.
Alder took a 22-14 lead at halftime.
Reynoldsburg put forth its best offensive effort during the third period with 13 points.
The Pioneers took a 36-27 margin into the final eight minutes of action.

Lady Pioneers on roll
JA’s girls improved to 15-2 with a 65-31 romp over Bellefontaine.
The Lady Pioneers (who will play at Bishop Watterson tonight) climbed to a 17-6 lead after the opening period and took a 30-11 advantage into halftime.
The team continued to roll with a 49-17 margin after three quarters.
Melissa Walbom led JA with 14 points and Abby Jones added 12.

Lady Cats triumph
A 61-38 victory over Indian Lake ran North Union’s girls hoop record to 10-7.
NU (which will travel to Marysville tonight) took a 14-6 margin into the second stanza and a 27-12 lead at halftime.
North Union’s margin expanded to 44-24 by the conclusion of the third period.
Journey Blevins led the Lady Cats with 15 points. Jordyn Hoffman tallied 13 and Kori Marvin added 10.

Monarchs fall
Marysville’s boys varsity basketball team slipped to 9-6 with a 60-53 loss to Wooster Triway.
The game was played at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
MHS (which will travel to Dublin Coffman on Friday) led, 15-14, at the end of the first quarter.
Triway rallied for a 31-27 halftime advantage and took a 41-40 edge into the final eight minutes of action
Chance Wells tallied 10 of his game-high 30 points for Triway during the fourth set, paving the way for the victory.
Garrett Taylor led the Monarchs with 17 points, while Jack Christian added 10.

Lady Cardinals drop game
Triad’s girls trailed by just a 13-9 score at the end of the first period.
West Liberty-Salem, however, raced to a 33-12 margin at halftime en route to a 56-19 victory.
The Tigers’ advantage climbed to 45-15 by the end of the third set.
The Lady Cardinals (2-15) will host Mechanicsburg on Thursday.
